The Postpartum Nourish-a-Thon: A Community Meal-Making Workshop

In the tender, overwhelming first weeks after a baby arrives, one of the most profound gifts you can offer a new mother is nourishment. With her body healing and her energy devoted to her newborn, the simple act of preparing a nutrient-dense meal can feel impossible. For friends and family asking, "How can we truly help?", this workshop provides a powerful and practical answer.

The Postpartum Nourish-a-thon is a vibrant, hands-on online workshop that brings together a circle of 6–8 couples or friends to cook from their own kitchens, guided live over Zoom. Across three sessions, your group prepares a treasure trove of healing food for the expecting mother — enough for 28-days of postpartum nourishment, including daily meals, snacks, and health-supportive drinks.

Ahead of the workshop, one person steps in as the coordinator, and I support them in organising the group: assigning meals, sharing detailed prep guides, and walking through the ingredient lists, storage needs, and scheduling. Then, across three cooking consults, I guide each small team as they prepare their dishes.

By the end of the workshop, your group will have created an incredible, tangible gift: a freezer stocked with dozens of nutrient-dense meals, protein-fueled snacks, and drinks with anti-inflammatory/antioxidant power, all ready to nourish and guard against postpartum depletion.
